The Art of the Barista
What makes a great barista?
My son says it's making that customer THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN YOUR LIFE from the time they walk up to you and order their favourite coffee, to the time thay salivate over the very BEST coffee they have EVER TASTED.
Espresso

For the purist, this is the ONLY way to drink such a wonderful brew! Just coffee!
You NEVER add milk!
Mocha

Some belive that a coffee mixed with any other flavour is just sacrilidge! But others LOVE the choclate hit!
Cappuccino

The most popular go-to cup coffee coffee throughout the western world. How did THAT happen?
Flat White

The Flat White first appeared in Sydney, Austrailia and has become a favourite with many coffee devotees.
Americano

Espresso mixed with hot water thus diluting the espresso & turning it into a long drink. Add milk if you must!
Cortado

A very balanced coffee with about the same amount of milk to reduce the acidity for a milder drink.
Latte

A true latte is made of one (or two) shots of espresso, steamed milk plus a thin top of frothed milk.
Macchiato

Contains a just splash of milk added to an espresso shot, giving roughly 50% espresso and 50% steamed milk. A concentrated flavour.
